We had the honour of working on a large London piece! we got to make some exciting bits and pieces and overall it was a lovely job Black bronze buttons with a lovely soft wax finish Before that lovely patina we worked the pieces to a lovely sharp gold, a beautiful moment in the process
History
Founded in 1987 by Simon Stringer our foundry has been running independently for 39 years. Simon received his formal fine art education from the Royal Academy in 1985, then went on to create the foundry to cast his public commissions. later joined by his wife basia then later still by his daughter phoebe, the traditional family-run foundry has been casting bronze together as a family ever since. simon now runs an honors degree at ual and the family continues to run the foundry as a team, joined by friends and apprentices.
